COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18374094 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD

Simplified Explanation

The communication apparatus described in the abstract is a device that connects to an external apparatus, obtains predetermined information from it, and generates operation information to control the external apparatus.

  • The communication apparatus has a first communication unit, a second communication unit, and a control unit.
  • The control unit connects to the external apparatus via the second communication unit based on predetermined information obtained from the external apparatus.
  • The control unit generates operation information for operating the external apparatus based on the predetermined information.
  • The control unit can store the predetermined information and generate operation information, or generate operation information without storing the predetermined information.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various industries such as home automation, industrial automation, and remote control systems.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of efficiently controlling external apparatus based on predetermined information obtained from them.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved communication and control of external devices, increased efficiency in operation, and enhanced user experience.

Potential Commercial Applications

One potential commercial application of this technology could be in smart home systems, where users can remotely control various devices based on predetermined information.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art for this technology could be communication systems used in industrial automation where external devices are controlled based on specific information obtained from them.

Unanswered Questions

How does the control unit determine when to store the predetermined information and when to generate operation information without storing it?

The control unit likely has a set of criteria or algorithms to determine the optimal approach based on the operation state of the external apparatus and the nature of the predetermined information.

What security measures are in place to protect the communication between the communication apparatus and the external apparatus?

There may be encryption protocols, authentication mechanisms, and secure communication channels implemented to ensure the security and integrity of the data exchanged between the communication apparatus and the external apparatus.

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus comprises a first communication unit, a second communication unit, and a control unit that, on a basis of predetermined information obtained from an external apparatus via the first communication unit, connects to the external apparatus via the second communication unit and generates operation information for operating the external apparatus on a basis of the predetermined information. The control unit, on a basis of an operation state of the external apparatus at a time when the external apparatus is connected via the second communication unit on a basis of the predetermined information, performs control to store the predetermined information and generate the operation information or generate the operation information without storing the predetermined information.
