BATTERY MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF FRAME VEHICLE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18366942 titled 'BATTERY MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF FRAME VEHICLE

Simplified Explanation

The battery mounting structure of a frame vehicle supports a battery pack by a pair of right and left side frames extending in the vehicle front-rear direction. It includes lateral members, a longitudinal member, and a support member for the battery pack.

  • Lateral members extend in the vehicle width direction and bridge the pair of right and left side frames.
  • A longitudinal member is supported by the lateral members to extend in the vehicle front-rear direction at an intermediate position of the side frames.
  • A support member holds the battery pack with a gap in the vertical direction between the longitudinal members, connected to the side frame via a rubber bush.

Original Abstract Submitted

A battery mounting structure of a frame vehicle, which supports a battery pack by a pair of right and left side frames extending in the vehicle front-rear direction and provided in the frame vehicle, includes: a plurality of lateral members extending in the vehicle width direction and bridging the pair of right and left side frames; a longitudinal member supported by the plurality of lateral members so as to extend in the vehicle front-rear direction at an intermediate position of the side frames; and a support member that supports the battery pack such that a plurality of longitudinal members are provided at intervals in the vehicle front-rear direction and a gap in the vertical direction is generated between the plurality of longitudinal members. The battery pack is connected to the side frame via a rubber bush.
