RESOURCE IDENTIFICATION FOR REPEATERS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18358838 titled 'RESOURCE IDENTIFICATION FOR REPEATERS
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a method for ON-OFF indication for repeaters in a network-controlled repeater (NCR) system. The method involves receiving information for time-domain resources and corresponding beams for an access link of an NCR forwarding (NCR-Fwd) entity. The first time-domain resource overlaps with the second time-domain resource in a set of symbols, but the first resource is not associated with a priority flag while the second resource is. The method also includes transmitting a radio frequency (RF) signal on the access link using the second beam over the overlapping symbols.
- The method involves receiving information for time-domain resources and beams for an access link in a network-controlled repeater system.
- The first time-domain resource and the second time-domain resource overlap in a set of symbols.
- The first time-domain resource does not have a priority flag, while the second time-domain resource does.
- The method includes transmitting an RF signal on the access link using the second beam over the overlapping symbols.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Wireless communication systems
- Cellular networks
- Repeater systems
Problems solved by this technology:
- Efficient utilization of time-domain resources in repeater systems
- Improved signal transmission and reception in overlapping time-domain resources
Benefits of this technology:
- Enhanced network performance and coverage
- Increased capacity and throughput in repeater systems
- Improved signal quality and reliability
Original Abstract Submitted
Apparatuses and methods for ON-OFF indication for repeaters. A method for a network-controlled repeater (NCR) includes receiving, by an NCR mobile termination (NCR-MT) entity, first information for a first time-domain resource and for a corresponding first beam for an access link of an NCR forwarding (NCR-Fwd) entity and second information for a second time-domain resource and for a corresponding second beam for the access link of the NCR-Fwd entity. The first time-domain resource overlaps with the second time-domain resource in a first set of symbols. The first time-domain resource is not associated with a priority flag. The second time-domain resources is associated with the priority flag. The method further includes receiving or transmitting a first radio frequency (RF) signal on the access link using the second beam over the first set of symbols.
