STEERING SUPPORT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18358163 titled 'STEERING SUPPORT

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a steering support system that includes front and rear steering coupling members, as well as body coupling members and wall parts. The front and rear steering coupling members are connected to the steering mechanism, while the body coupling members are connected to the vehicle body. The first wall part connects the rear steering coupling member and the second body coupling member, while the second wall part connects the front steering coupling member and the second body coupling member.

  • The steering support system includes front and rear steering coupling members.
  • There are first, second, and third body coupling members.
  • The first body coupling member is located at the front end of the vehicle in a front-rear direction.
  • The second body coupling member is located at the first end in a vehicle-width direction.
  • The third body coupling member is located at the second end in the vehicle-width direction.
  • The first wall part connects the rear steering coupling member and the second body coupling member.
  • The second wall part connects the front steering coupling member and the second body coupling member.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Automotive industry: This steering support system can be used in various types of vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
  • Autonomous vehicles: The system can be integrated into autonomous vehicles to enhance their steering capabilities.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improved steering control: The steering support system provides a stable and reliable connection between the steering mechanism and the vehicle body, resulting in improved steering control.
  • Enhanced maneuverability: The system allows for better maneuverability of the vehicle, especially in tight spaces or during complex maneuvers.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Increased safety: The improved steering control and maneuverability offered by the system can contribute to safer driving experiences.
  • Enhanced vehicle performance: The system can enhance the overall performance of the vehicle, including its handling and responsiveness.
  • Cost-effective solution: The integral molding of the front and rear steering coupling members and the wall parts can result in a cost-effective manufacturing process.

Original Abstract Submitted

A steering support comprises front and rear steering coupling members, first, second, and third body coupling members, first and second wall parts, which are made by an integral molding. The front and rear steering coupling members are coupled to a steering. The first body coupling member located at a front end in a front-rear direction of a vehicle, the second body coupling member located at a first end in a vehicle-width direction, and the third body coupling member located at a second end in the vehicle-width direction are coupled to a body of a vehicle. The first wall part connects the rear steering coupling member and the second body coupling member and has a substantially flat surface. The second wall part connects the front steering coupling member and the second body coupling member and has a substantially flat surface.
