SERVER AND MANAGEMENT METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18335506 titled 'SERVER AND MANAGEMENT METHOD
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a server that manages power control between an electrified vehicle and an electric power system. The server acquires information on the power control process and checks for abnormalities before allowing the power control to be performed by the vehicle.
- The server is configured to manage power control between an electrified vehicle and an electric power system.
- An acquisition unit gathers information on the power control process performed by the vehicle.
- A processor checks for abnormalities in the communication status of the vehicle or the permission for power control.
- If no abnormalities are found, the processor allows the power control to be executed by the vehicle.
Potential Applications
- Electric vehicle charging stations
- Smart grid systems
- Energy management systems for electric vehicles
Problems Solved
- Ensures safe and efficient power control between electrified vehicles and electric power systems
- Prevents abnormalities in communication status that could disrupt power control processes
Benefits
- Improved reliability of power control processes
- Enhanced safety for both the vehicle and the power system
- Optimal utilization of electric power resources
Original Abstract Submitted
A server configured to manage power control including at least one of power supply from an electrified vehicle to an electric power system or charge from the electric power system to the electrified vehicle includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire information on a first time period in which the power control is performed by the electrified vehicle that has acceded to a request to perform the power control, and a processor configured to determine, in a second time period before the first time period, whether there is an abnormality on at least one of a communication status of the electrified vehicle or whether the power control is allowed to be performed by the electrified vehicle. The processor is configured to, when the processor determines that there is no abnormality, execute command control such that the power control is performed by the electrified vehicle in the first time period.
