ASSEMBLY JIG - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18294180 titled 'ASSEMBLY JIG

The assembly jig described in the patent application consists of a bearing platform with a bearing area, first and second limiting surfaces, and adsorption holes.

  • The bearing platform has a bearing area, first and second limiting surfaces, and adsorption holes.
  • The first limiting surface is along one side of the bearing area, while the second limiting surface is on another side, intersecting with the first direction.
  • An adsorption component creates negative pressure in the adsorption holes.
  • A guide rail on the bearing platform, parallel to the second direction, provides support.
  • A press component on the guide rail has a press surface towards the bearing area.

Potential Applications: - This assembly jig could be used in manufacturing processes that require precise alignment and positioning of components. - It could be utilized in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics for assembly tasks.

Problems Solved: - The assembly jig helps in securely holding components in place during assembly, preventing misalignment or errors. - It aids in increasing efficiency and accuracy in the assembly process.

Benefits: - Improved precision and accuracy in component assembly. - Enhanced efficiency and productivity in manufacturing operations. - Reduction in errors and rework due to secure component positioning.

Commercial Applications: Title: Precision Assembly Jig for Manufacturing Processes This technology could find applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics for precise component assembly tasks. It can improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity in manufacturing operations.

Questions about the Precision Assembly Jig for Manufacturing Processes: 1. How does the negative pressure in the adsorption holes contribute to the functionality of the assembly jig? 2. What are the specific industries that could benefit the most from using this assembly jig in their manufacturing processes?

Original Abstract Submitted

An assembly jig, comprises: a bearing platform, having a bearing area, a first limiting surface, a second limiting surface, and a plurality of adsorption holes penetrating the bearing area, wherein the first limiting surface is located on a side of the bearing area along a first direction, the second limiting surface is located on a side of the bearing area along a second direction, and the first direction intersects with the second direction; an adsorption component, being in communication with the plurality of adsorption holes and configured to form a negative pressure in the adsorption holes; a guide rail, limited on the bearing platform and provided on a side where the bearing area is located, wherein a length direction of the guide rail is parallel to the second direction; and a press component, slidably limited on the guide rail and having a press surface towards the bearing area.
