Questions about the Technology

How does this technology improve handover processes in communication networks?

This technology improves handover processes by allowing the apparatus to receive indications and pause relay links based on the received information, ensuring seamless transitions between base stations.

What are the potential implications of pausing relay links during handover processes?

Pausing relay links can help prevent disruptions in communication and ensure that data transmission remains stable during handover, ultimately improving network reliability and user experience.

Original Abstract Submitted

According to an example aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided an apparatus comprising means for receiving, at the apparatus, an indication indicating that a target base station of the apparatus for a handover does not support relaying, wherein the apparatus is in a radio resource control connected state and has a relay link with a serving base station via a relay user equipment and pausing the relay link based at least on the received indication.
