Original Abstract Submitted

An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device of the disclosure includes a cartridge having a chamber formed therein to store a liquid, a body coupled to the cartridge, at least one sensor configured to output a signal corresponding to motion of the aerosol-generating device, a light source disposed in the body and configured to radiate light toward the cartridge, and a controller. The controller determines the orientation direction of the aerosol-generating device based on a signal received from the at least one sensor. When the determined orientation direction is a predetermined direction and when a predetermined input is received through the at least one sensor, the controller controls the light source to radiate light.
