FIRST AND SECOND COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND METHODS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18286562 titled 'FIRST AND SECOND COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND METHODS
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a communication device that can coordinate communication between multiple devices by managing transmission opportunities and access information.
Key Features and Innovation
- Communication device can receive requests for transmission opportunities from other devices.
- Sets access information, including channel access parameters and transmission opportunity parameters, for the requesting device.
- Transmits the access information to the requesting device to indicate how it can communicate before and during scheduled intervals.
Potential Applications
This technology can be applied in various communication systems where multiple devices need to coordinate their transmissions efficiently.
Problems Solved
This technology addresses the challenge of managing communication between multiple devices within scheduled intervals without causing interference or delays.
Benefits
- Efficient coordination of communication between multiple devices.
- Improved transmission opportunities for all devices involved.
- Minimized interference and delays in communication.
Commercial Applications
The technology can be utilized in wireless communication systems, IoT devices, and network infrastructure to optimize communication efficiency and reliability.
Prior Art
No specific information on prior art related to this technology is provided in the abstract.
Frequently Updated Research
There is no information on frequently updated research related to this technology.
Questions about Communication Device Coordination
Question 1
How does the communication device manage conflicting transmission requests from multiple devices?
The communication device resolves conflicting transmission requests by setting access information for each device based on channel access and transmission opportunity parameters.
Question 2
What are the potential implications of this technology on network congestion and data throughput?
This technology can potentially reduce network congestion by efficiently managing transmission opportunities and improving data throughput for all devices involved in the communication process.
Original Abstract Submitted
A first communication device configured to communicate with one or more second and third communication devices, the first communication device comprising circuitry configured to receive a request for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) from a second communication device, the requested transmission opportunity overlapping with a scheduling interval during which communication of the first communication device with one or more third communication devices is planned, set access information, including one or more channel access (CA) parameters and/or one or more TXOP parameters, for the second communication device that indicates to the second communication device if and how it may communicate with the first communication device before and/or during the scheduling interval, and transmit the access information to at least the second communication device.
