WIRELESS NETWORK AND METHODS OF RECOVERING NETWORK SERVICES AFTER RESTART OF UDR FUNCTION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18284742 titled 'WIRELESS NETWORK AND METHODS OF RECOVERING NETWORK SERVICES AFTER RESTART OF UDR FUNCTION

The abstract of the patent application describes a method in a wireless network where a Unified Data Repository (UDR) entity receives information associated with an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) entity from a Unified Data Management (UDM) entity during a registration procedure, and allows overwriting of information if the timestamp information is the same as previously stored timestamp information.

  • The method involves receiving information from a UDM entity related to an AMF entity during a registration procedure.
  • The UDR entity can overwrite information associated with the AMF entity if the timestamp information matches previously stored timestamp information.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be applied in wireless networks to efficiently manage registration procedures and data storage. - It can improve the overall performance and reliability of network operations.

Problems Solved: - Streamlining the registration process in wireless networks. - Ensuring accurate and up-to-date information storage in network entities.

Benefits: - Enhanced efficiency in managing network data. - Improved reliability and accuracy in registration procedures.

Commercial Applications: Title: "Efficient Data Management in Wireless Networks" This technology can be utilized by telecommunications companies to optimize network operations and enhance user experience. It can also be valuable for network equipment manufacturers in developing advanced network management solutions.

Prior Art: Information on prior art related to this technology is not provided in the abstract.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure relates to a method in a wireless network, the method comprising: receiving, by a Unified Data Repository (UDR) entity (), information associated with an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) entity () from a Unified Data management (UDM) entity (), when the UDM entity () receives a registration procedure from the AMF entity (), wherein the registration procedure comprises timestamp information associated with a User Equipment (UE) (); and allowing, by the UDR entity (), to overwrite the information associated with the AMF entity () upon determining that the timestamp information is same as a previously stored timestamp information.
