SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PLURALITY OF MOVEMENT MECHANISMS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18278957 titled 'SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PLURALITY OF MOVEMENT MECHANISMS

The system described in the patent application includes control devices, an integrated control device, and an operation terminal. The control devices are responsible for controlling movement mechanisms, while the integrated control device outputs commands to control devices for each movement mechanism. The operation terminal sends a first command for a specific movement mechanism to the integrated control device, which then generates a second command based on the first command and sends it to a specific control device that controls the specific movement mechanism. The operation profile is then generated based on the second command to define a temporal change in the operation of the specific movement mechanism.

  • Control devices manage movement mechanisms
  • Integrated control device sends commands to control devices
  • Operation terminal sends commands to integrated control device
  • Integrated control device generates second command for specific movement mechanism
  • Operation profile is created based on the second command

Potential Applications: - Industrial automation - Robotics - Manufacturing processes

Problems Solved: - Efficient control of multiple movement mechanisms - Streamlined operation of complex systems

Benefits: - Improved precision in controlling movement mechanisms - Enhanced automation capabilities - Increased efficiency in industrial processes

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Control System for Industrial Automation This technology can be utilized in various industries such as manufacturing, automotive, and logistics for optimizing processes, increasing productivity, and reducing operational costs.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the integrated control device determine the second command for a specific movement mechanism? 2. What are the key advantages of using this system in industrial automation settings?

Original Abstract Submitted

A system includes control devices, an integrated control device, and an operation terminal. The control devices respectively control movement mechanisms. The integrated control device outputs a command for each of the movement mechanisms to a control device that controls the movement mechanism. The operation terminal outputs a first command for a specific movement mechanism to the integrated control device, the specific movement mechanism being any of the movement mechanisms. The integrated control device generates a second command corresponding to the specific movement mechanism based on the first command and outputs the second command to a specific control device that controls the specific movement mechanism. The integrated control device or the specific control device generates, based on the second command, an operation profile that defines a temporal change in an operation of the specific movement mechanism. The specific control device controls the specific movement mechanism based on the operation profile.
