RF-BASED SENSING WITH CONSISTENT LATENCY - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18274491 titled 'RF-BASED SENSING WITH CONSISTENT LATENCY
The present invention involves utilizing RF-based sensing to detect an event and react to it with a consistent latency or within a specific latency range. The system determines the latency of multiple groups of nodes for sensing and reacting in different sensing areas, and establishes a consistent latency based on these determinations.

Questions about RF-Based Sensing Systems: 1. How does the system determine the consistent latency for event response? The system determines the consistent latency based on the latency of multiple groups of nodes in different sensing areas. 2. What are the potential applications of this technology beyond IoT and smart home systems? This technology can also be applied in industrial automation, environmental monitoring, and security systems for efficient event response.
Original Abstract Submitted
The present invention relates to performing RF-based sensing and reacting to an event detected by the RF-based sensing with a consistent latency or at least with a latency within a latency range around the consistent latency. A latency of two or more groups () of nodes () each for performing RF-based sensing and reacting to the event detected by the RF-based sensing in a respective sensing area () of multiple sensing areas is determined. The consistent latency is determined based on the determined latencies. At least one of the two or more of the groups () is adapted such that they perform RF-based sensing and react to the event detected by the RF-based sensing with the consistent latency or at least with a latency within a latency range around the consistent latency.
