LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18264490 titled 'LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a patent application for a light emitting diode with a stacked structure of one or more first layers and one or more second layers in the light emitting layer. The first layers contain organic functional material of a first type doped with material of a second type, while the second layers contain organic functional material of the first type without doping. The light emitting layer includes double-layer structures with individual first and second layers stacked on each other.

  • The light emitting diode has a stacked structure with first and second layers in the light emitting layer.
  • The first layers contain organic functional material of a first type doped with material of a second type, while the second layers contain organic functional material of the first type without doping.
  • The light emitting layer includes double-layer structures with individual first and second layers stacked on each other.

Original Abstract Submitted

A light emitting diode is provided. The light emitting diode includes a light emitting layer. The light emitting layer includes one or more first layers and one or more second layers in a stacked structure. A respective first layer of the one or more first layers includes an organic functional material of a first type doped with an organic functional material of a second type. A respective second layer of the one or more second layers includes an organic functional material of the first type without being doped with an organic functional material of the second type. The light emitting layer includes one or more double-layer structure stacked on each other, a respective double-layer structure including an individual second layer and an individual first layer stacked on the individual second layer.
