Service Request and Response Handling - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18263160 titled 'Service Request and Response Handling

The abstract describes a method for handling responses to service requests using a service communication proxy node.

  • The method involves transmitting a second response to a service request towards the service consumer node.
  • The first response is received from a selected service producer node, indicating which group of nodes it belongs to.
  • The method facilitates communication between service consumer and producer nodes in a network function environment.

Potential Applications: - Telecommunications networks - Cloud computing environments - Internet of Things (IoT) systems

Problems Solved: - Efficient handling of service requests and responses - Streamlining communication between network function nodes

Benefits: - Improved network efficiency - Enhanced service delivery - Better resource allocation

Commercial Applications: Title: "Enhanced Service Communication Method for Network Functions" This technology can be applied in telecommunications companies, cloud service providers, and IoT solution providers to optimize service delivery and network performance.

Prior Art: Researchers can explore existing patents related to service communication methods in network function environments to understand the evolution of this technology.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on the latest advancements in network function communication protocols and service delivery optimization techniques to enhance the efficiency of this technology.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this method improve the overall performance of network function nodes? 2. What are the key factors to consider when selecting a service producer node for handling service requests?

Original Abstract Submitted

There is provided a method for handling a first response to a first service request. The method is performed by a first service communication proxy (SCR) node that is configured to operate as an SCR between a first network function (NF) node of a service consumer and one or more groups of second NF nodes of one or more service producers. In response to receiving the first response to the first service request, transmission of a second response to the first service request is initiated () towards the first NF node. The first service request is a request for a first service, requested by the first NF node, to be provided. The first response is received from a second NF node that is selected to provide the first service and the second response comprises information indicative of which group of the one or more groups comprises the second NF node.
