SELECTIVE RECEIVER-ASSISTED CHANNEL SENSING - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18261027 titled 'SELECTIVE RECEIVER-ASSISTED CHANNEL SENSING
Simplified Explanation
- Wireless communication methods and devices for selective receiver-assisted channel sensing are provided. - Receivers (e.g., UEs) can be selectively configured to perform receiver-assisted channel sensing using trigger signaling or channel sensing configuration by a BS, UE capabilities, or operational mode. - A method for wireless communication by a UE includes sensing a channel based on a receiver-assisted channel sensing trigger or a UE capability, and transmitting channel sensing information to a BS based on the sensing.
Potential Applications
- Improved wireless communication reliability and efficiency. - Enhanced spectrum utilization in wireless networks. - Better management of network resources.
Problems Solved
- Inefficient channel sensing methods. - Limited spectrum utilization. - Poor network resource management.
Benefits
- Increased reliability and efficiency in wireless communication. - Enhanced spectrum utilization leading to better network performance. - Improved management of network resources for optimized operations.
Original Abstract Submitted
Wireless communication methods and devices for selective receiver-assisted channel sensing are provided. In some aspects, one or more receivers (e.g., UEs) can be selectively configured to perform receiver-assisted channel sensing (e.g., class A channel sensing) using at least one of trigger signaling and channel sensing configuration by a BS, UE capabilities, or operational mode. For example, a method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: sensing a channel based on at least one of a receiver-assisted channel sensing trigger, or a UE capability; and transmitting, to a base station (BS) based on the sensing, channel sensing information.
