COMPOSITE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18243250 titled 'COMPOSITE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT

The abstract of the patent application describes a composite electronic component with a body containing a dielectric layer and internal electrodes, as well as external electrodes and insulating substrates with spherical particles.

  • The composite electronic component includes a dielectric layer and internal electrodes within a body.
  • External electrodes are present on the body, extending onto at least a portion of the first surface.
  • Insulating substrates with spherical particles are disposed on portions of the external electrodes.
  • The insulating substrates contribute to the overall functionality and performance of the electronic component.
  • The use of spherical particles in the insulating substrates enhances the properties of the component.

Potential Applications: This technology could be used in various electronic devices such as capacitors, sensors, and filters.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the need for improved electronic components with enhanced performance and reliability.

Benefits: The composite electronic component offers improved functionality, reliability, and performance compared to traditional components.

Commercial Applications: This technology could be applied in the manufacturing of electronic devices for industries such as telecommunications, consumer electronics, and automotive.

Questions about the technology: 1. How do the spherical particles in the insulating substrates contribute to the performance of the electronic component? 2. What specific advantages does this composite electronic component offer over traditional components?

Original Abstract Submitted

A composite electronic component includes a body including a dielectric layer and first and second internal electrodes and including first and second surfaces opposing each other in the first direction, third and fourth surfaces opposing each other in a second direction, and fifth and sixth surfaces opposing each other in a third direction, a first external electrode disposed on the third surface and extending onto at least a portion of the first surface, a second external electrode disposed on the fourth surface and extending onto at least a portion of the first surface, a first insulating substrate disposed on a portion of the first external electrode disposed on the first surface, and a second insulating substrate disposed on a portion of the second external electrode disposed on the first surface, wherein the first and second insulating substrates each include a plurality of spherical particles including a resin.
