ELECTRONIC APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING CONTACT INFORMATION FOR AN OBJECT AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18242372 titled 'ELECTRONIC APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING CONTACT INFORMATION FOR AN OBJECT AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Simplified Explanation
The electronic apparatus described in the abstract includes a contact portion with markers, a camera, and a processor that can identify displacement of markers on the contact portion based on images captured by the camera. The processor can also determine the intensity and direction of a force applied to the contact portion.
- The electronic apparatus has a contact portion with markers that can be used to detect forces applied to the object.
- The camera captures images of the contact portion to identify displacement of markers, which helps determine the force applied.
- The processor analyzes the displacement of markers to calculate the intensity and direction of the force applied to the contact portion.

The article does not discuss any potential limitations of using a camera to detect and analyze forces applied to the contact portion.
Original Abstract Submitted
An electronic apparatus includes a contact portion including a plurality of markers, a camera, and at least one processor configured to identify, based on at least one surface of the contact portion contacting an object, at least one displacement of the plurality of markers based on a first image in which a first surface of the contact portion that is opposite to the at least one surface is captured by the camera, and identify, based on the at least one displacement, at least one of an intensity of a force applied to the contact portion and a direction of the force applied to the contact portion, where a first marker of the plurality of markers includes at least one of a form and a color that is different from a second marker of the plurality of markers that is adjacent to the first marker.
