IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18229868 titled 'IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an image forming system that includes an image forming apparatus, a fixing device, a varnish image forming apparatus, an image reading portion, and a controller. The system corrects image data based on detection image data obtained from reading toner and varnish images, and uses the corrected data to form toner and varnish images on recording materials.

  • The image forming system includes various components such as an image forming apparatus, fixing device, varnish image forming apparatus, image reading portion, and a controller.
  • The controller plays a crucial role in correcting image data based on detection image data obtained from reading toner and varnish images.
  • The corrected image data is then used to form toner and varnish images on subsequent recording materials.
  • The system allows for the formation of toner and varnish images on different recording materials, providing versatility in printing options.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Printing industry: This technology can be used in commercial printing, allowing for the creation of high-quality toner and varnish images on various materials.
  • Packaging industry: The system can be utilized to print labels, packaging materials, and other items that require precise and vibrant images.
  • Advertising and marketing: Companies can use this technology to create visually appealing promotional materials, brochures, and signage.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Image correction: The system corrects image data based on detection image data, ensuring accurate and high-quality prints.
  • Versatile printing options: The ability to form toner and varnish images on different recording materials expands the range of printing applications.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Enhanced image quality: The correction of image data improves the overall quality and accuracy of printed images.
  • Versatility in printing: The system allows for the formation of toner and varnish images on various recording materials, providing flexibility in printing options.
  • Time and cost savings: By automating the image correction process and offering versatile printing capabilities, the system can help save time and reduce production costs.

Original Abstract Submitted

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus, a fixing device, a varnish image forming apparatus, an image reading portion, and a controller. The controller corrects first image data depending on first detection image data on a toner image formed on a first recording material and read by the image reading portion, and then depending on the corrected first image data, a toner image is formed on a second recording material subsequent to the first recording material. The controller corrects second image data depending on second detection image data on a varnish image read by the image reading portion, and then depending on the corrected second image data, a varnish image is formed on the second recording material.
