POWER SOURCE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18224123 titled 'POWER SOURCE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a power source device that utilizes a series of FETs and capacitors to control the flow of electricity between the LIVE and NEUTRAL phases in an electrical system.

  • The first FET has its source connected to the LIVE phase.
  • The second FET has its source connected to the drain of the first FET.
  • The third FET has its source connected to the NEUTRAL phase.
  • The fourth FET has its source connected to the drain of the third FET.
  • Capacitors are strategically placed in the circuit to regulate the flow of electricity.
  • A detector is used to monitor the potentials of the LIVE and NEUTRAL phases.
  • A controller adjusts the FETs based on the detector's readings.
  • An inductive load is connected between the drains of the first and third FETs.
