MASTER DEVICE TO COMMUNICATE WITH SLAVE DEVICE, SLAVE DEVICE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18221395 titled 'MASTER DEVICE TO COMMUNICATE WITH SLAVE DEVICE, SLAVE DEVICE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

The master device in this patent application has a communication interface that allows it to transmit control signals and data signals to a slave device through two separate pads connected by wires.

  • The first pad is used to transmit communication control signals to the slave device.
  • The second pad is used to transmit synchronized data signals to the slave device and receive synchronized data signals from the slave device.
  • The first data signal is sent from the master device to the slave device in a write mode.
  • The second data signal is sent from the slave device to the master device in a read mode.
  • The communication interface triggers the read mode by changing the voltage level on the second pad while the communication control signal is at a specific voltage level.

Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in various communication systems where synchronized data transmission is crucial. - It could be applied in industrial automation, robotics, and IoT devices that require reliable communication between master and slave devices.

Problems Solved: - Ensures synchronized data transmission between master and slave devices. - Provides a method for initiating read mode in the slave device.

Benefits: - Improved communication reliability. - Efficient data transmission between devices. - Enhanced control over data flow.

Commercial Applications: Title: Synchronized Data Transmission Technology for Industrial Automation This technology could be utilized in manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other industrial settings to enhance communication between different devices, leading to increased efficiency and productivity.

Questions about Synchronized Data Transmission Technology: 1. How does this technology improve communication reliability between master and slave devices? - This technology ensures synchronized data transmission, reducing the risk of data errors and improving overall communication efficiency.

2. What are the potential applications of this technology in industrial automation? - This technology can be applied in various industrial settings to facilitate communication between different devices, leading to improved operational efficiency and control.

Original Abstract Submitted

The master device includes a first pad connected to a slave device through a first wire; a second pad connected to the slave device through a second wire; and a communication interface to transmit a communication control signal to the slave device through the first pad, and, through the second pad, to transmit a first data signal synchronized with the communication control signal to the slave device and to receive a second data signal synchronized with the communication control signal from the slave device. The first data signal is transmitted to the slave device by the master device in a write mode and the second data signal is transmitted to the master device by the slave device in a read mode. The communication interface is configured to start the read mode by transiting the communication control signal from a first voltage level to a second voltage level while the second pad has a predetermined voltage level.
