DISHWASHER INCLUDING HEAT PUMP APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18212920 titled 'DISHWASHER INCLUDING HEAT PUMP APPARATUS
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a dishwasher with a heat pump apparatus that heats the wash water. The heat pump includes various components such as a compressor, heat exchangers, expansion valves, and a four-way valve to control the flow of refrigerant.
- The dishwasher includes a heat pump apparatus to heat the wash water.
- The heat pump apparatus consists of a compressor, heat exchangers, expansion valves, and a four-way valve.
- The compressor compresses the refrigerant, while the heat exchangers heat the water introduced into the dishwasher tub.
- The expansion valves expand the refrigerant, and the four-way valve controls the flow path of the refrigerant.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Household dishwashers: This technology can be used in residential dishwashers to improve energy efficiency and reduce electricity consumption.
- Commercial dishwashers: Restaurants and other food service establishments can benefit from this technology to enhance the performance and energy efficiency of their dishwashing equipment.
Problems solved by this technology:
- Energy efficiency: The heat pump apparatus helps to heat the wash water more efficiently, reducing energy consumption compared to traditional heating methods.
- Improved performance: The use of a heat pump can provide faster and more consistent heating of the wash water, resulting in better cleaning performance.
Benefits of this technology:
- Energy savings: By using a heat pump, the dishwasher can reduce energy consumption and lower electricity bills.
- Enhanced cleaning: The efficient heating of the wash water ensures better cleaning results, removing stubborn stains and food residues effectively.
- Environmental impact: The improved energy efficiency of the dishwasher contributes to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability.
Original Abstract Submitted
A dishwasher includes a tub defining a washing space and accommodating dishes and a heat pump apparatus configured to heat wash water introduced into the tub. The heat pump apparatus includes a compressor configured to compress refrigerant, a first heat exchanger configured to heat water introduced into the tub, a first expansion valve configured to expand refrigerant, a second heat exchanger to which refrigerant is introduced from the first expansion valve, a second expansion valve disposed in parallel with the first expansion valve, a third heat exchanger disposed in parallel with the second heat exchanger, and a four way valve connected with the compressor, the first heat exchanger, the second heat exchanger, and the third heat exchanger and configured to change a flow path of the refrigerant.
