In one or more embodiments, a corrosion-resistant substrate may include a substrate including a first surface and a corrosion-resistant film positioned on at least a portion of the first surface of the substrate. The corrosion-resistant film may be solid. In embodiments, the film may include a 1-(2-hydroxyalkyl)pyridinium compound.
