Vehicle and Method of Supporting Sound Input/Output for the Same - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18178053 titled 'Vehicle and Method of Supporting Sound Input/Output for the Same

Simplified Explanation

The embodiment vehicle patent application focuses on a system that adjusts air conditioning control based on noise levels and user commands.

  • The controller in the vehicle determines if sound guidance is scheduled or if a voice command is initiated due to high noise levels inside the vehicle.
  • If sound guidance or voice commands are detected, the controller adjusts the air conditioning control based on the target temperature and current inside temperature.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various vehicles, such as cars, buses, and trains, to provide a more comfortable and efficient air conditioning system that responds to user commands and noise levels.

Problems Solved

1. Inefficient air conditioning control in noisy environments. 2. Difficulty in adjusting air conditioning settings while driving or in noisy conditions.

Benefits

1. Improved user experience with voice-controlled air conditioning. 2. Energy efficiency by adjusting air conditioning based on actual user needs and noise levels.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Smart Air Conditioning Control System for Vehicles" could be marketed to automotive manufacturers looking to enhance the comfort and convenience features of their vehicles.

Possible Prior Art

There may be existing patents or technologies related to voice-controlled air conditioning systems in vehicles, but further research is needed to identify specific prior art in this field.

Unanswered Questions

How does this technology impact user privacy in the vehicle environment?

The article does not address potential privacy concerns related to voice commands and noise level monitoring inside the vehicle.

What are the potential limitations of this system in extreme temperature conditions?

The article does not discuss how the system may perform in extreme temperature conditions, such as very hot or very cold environments.

Original Abstract Submitted

An embodiment vehicle includes an air conditioning apparatus and a controller configured to determine whether output of sound guidance is scheduled or input of a voice command is started in response to an inside noise level being higher than a preset reference noise level while air conditioning control is performed through the air conditioning apparatus and, in response to a determination that the output of the sound guidance is scheduled or the input of the voice command is started, to determine air conditioning control adjustment based on an air conditioning target and an inside temperature.
