Vehicle and Method of Supporting Sound Input/Output for the Same - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18178053 titled 'Vehicle and Method of Supporting Sound Input/Output for the Same

Simplified Explanation

The embodiment vehicle described in the patent application includes a system that adjusts air conditioning control based on the noise level inside the vehicle and whether sound guidance is scheduled or a voice command is initiated.

  • The controller determines if sound guidance is scheduled or a voice command is initiated based on the noise level inside the vehicle.
  • If sound guidance is scheduled or a voice command is initiated, the controller adjusts the air conditioning control based on the target temperature and the current inside temperature.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various vehicles, such as cars, buses, and trains, to provide a more comfortable and efficient air conditioning system that responds to the occupants' needs.

Problems Solved

This technology addresses the issue of noise interference with voice commands or scheduled sound guidance in a vehicle, ensuring that the air conditioning control is adjusted appropriately despite the noise level.

Benefits

- Improved user experience with voice commands and scheduled sound guidance in noisy environments - Enhanced comfort and efficiency of the air conditioning system in vehicles

Potential Commercial Applications

This technology could be valuable for automotive manufacturers looking to enhance the user experience and efficiency of their vehicles' air conditioning systems.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be systems that adjust air conditioning control based on temperature sensors alone, without considering noise levels or voice commands.

Unanswered Questions

How does this technology impact energy efficiency in vehicles?

This technology could potentially lead to more efficient use of the air conditioning system in vehicles, as it adjusts control based on specific conditions inside the vehicle.

What are the potential privacy implications of using voice commands in vehicles?

Using voice commands in vehicles raises concerns about privacy and data security, especially if the system is constantly monitoring and responding to voice inputs.

Original Abstract Submitted

An embodiment vehicle includes an air conditioning apparatus and a controller configured to determine whether output of sound guidance is scheduled or input of a voice command is started in response to an inside noise level being higher than a preset reference noise level while air conditioning control is performed through the air conditioning apparatus and, in response to a determination that the output of the sound guidance is scheduled or the input of the voice command is started, to determine air conditioning control adjustment based on an air conditioning target and an inside temperature.
