The method may comprise performing, using a computing device of a vehicle, a sensing function when a function to decelerate the vehicle is applied. The sensing function may comprise measuring a pedal effort measurement, measuring a pedal travel measurement, and measuring a simulator temperature measurement of a pedal feel simulator. The method may comprise performing, using the computing device, a processing function. The processing function may comprise calculating a brake command, applying a correction to the brake command based on the simulator temperature measurement, generating a final brake command, and outputting the final brake command.
