UNIFIED DEPLOYMENT OF CONTAINER INFRASTRUCTURE AND RESOURCES - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18156588 titled 'UNIFIED DEPLOYMENT OF CONTAINER INFRASTRUCTURE AND RESOURCES
The abstract describes systems and methods for deploying virtual infrastructure and containerized workloads through a deployment platform. The platform receives definitions of the virtual infrastructure and workloads, sends this information to the infrastructure manager and container orchestrator for deployment.
- Definition of virtual infrastructure and containerized workloads
- Deployment platform sends information to infrastructure manager and container orchestrator
- Infrastructure manager deploys virtual infrastructure with container orchestrator
- Container orchestrator deploys containerized workloads on the virtual infrastructure
Potential Applications: - Cloud computing - DevOps environments - Software development and testing
Problems Solved: - Simplifying the deployment of virtual infrastructure and containerized workloads - Streamlining the management of complex IT environments
Benefits: - Increased efficiency in deploying and managing IT resources - Enhanced scalability and flexibility for workloads
Commercial Applications: Unified virtual infrastructure and containerized workload deployment technology can be utilized by cloud service providers, IT companies, and organizations with complex IT infrastructures to streamline their operations and improve resource utilization.
Questions about Unified Virtual Infrastructure and Containerized Workload Deployment:
1. How does this technology improve the efficiency of deploying virtual infrastructure and containerized workloads? 2. What are the key differences between traditional deployment methods and the approach described in the patent application?
Original Abstract Submitted
Systems and methods for unified virtual infrastructure and containerized workload deployment via a deployment platform include receiving, at the deployment platform, a definition of the virtual infrastructure and the containerized workload, sending, by the deployment platform, first information comprising the definition of the virtual infrastructure to an infrastructure manager configured to deploy the virtual infrastructure including a container orchestrator, and sending, by the deployment platform, second information comprising the definition of the containerized workload to the container orchestrator configured to deploy the containerized workload on the deployed virtual infrastructure.
