FREQUENCY DEPENDENT RESIDUAL SIDEBAND INDICATIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18148287 titled 'FREQUENCY DEPENDENT RESIDUAL SIDEBAND INDICATIONS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application relates to wireless communication, where a user equipment (UE) receives a frequency dependent residual sideband (FDRSB) indication from a network node. The UE then adjusts its communication based on the FDRSB correction function, which is determined by the average FDRSB power level or estimated total noise level.

  • UE receives FDRSB indication from network node
  • Communication adjusted based on FDRSB correction function
  • Correction function determined by average FDRSB power level or total noise level

Key Features and Innovation

Questions about Wireless Communication

What are the key factors influencing signal quality in wireless communication systems?

Signal quality in wireless communication systems is influenced by factors such as interference, noise levels, and signal strength. By optimizing these factors, the overall performance of the system can be improved.

How does FDRSB correction function impact the communication performance of a UE?

The FDRSB correction function plays a crucial role in adjusting the communication of a UE based on the received FDRSB indication. By utilizing this function, the UE can mitigate signal interference and improve overall communication reliability.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a frequency dependent residual sideband (FDRSB) indication that indicates an average FDRSB power level associated with at least one transmission antenna of a network node. The UE may receive a communication from the network node, the receiving comprising demodulating the communication based on a state of an FDRSB correction function of the UE, the state of the FDRSB correction function being based on at least one of the average FDRSB power level or an estimated total noise level. Numerous other aspects are described.
