A set of bonus game events is initiated, wherein a wager for each bonus game event of the set of bonus game events includes a corresponding game award of the first subset of the plurality of game awards. For each bonus game event of the set of bonus game events, a bonus game event result is independently determined. For each bonus game event result that is a winning result, a bonus game event is awarded based on the wager for the corresponding bonus game event.
