INTEGRATED DEVICE OF PUMP AND VALVE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18085124 titled 'INTEGRATED DEVICE OF PUMP AND VALVE
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes an integrated device that combines a pump and a valve. The device includes a drive unit, a valve assembly, a pump, and a controller. The valve assembly can be switched between two positions by the drive unit, creating different fluid passages. The pump is connected to the valve assembly to allow fluid flow.
- The device integrates a pump and a valve into a single unit.
- The valve assembly can be switched between two positions, creating different fluid passages.
- The pump is connected to the valve assembly, allowing fluid flow through the valve assembly.
- The device is controlled by a controller that manages the operation of the drive unit and the pump.
Potential Applications
- Industrial processes that require fluid control and pumping.
- Medical devices that require precise fluid flow control.
- Water treatment systems that need both pumping and valve functionality.
Problems Solved
- Simplifies the design and operation of systems that require both pumping and valve functions.
- Reduces the need for separate pump and valve components.
- Provides a compact and integrated solution for fluid control and pumping.
Benefits
- Space-saving design due to the integration of pump and valve.
- Improved efficiency and control of fluid flow.
- Simplified installation and maintenance of systems that require both pumping and valve functions.
Original Abstract Submitted
An integrated device of a pump and a valve is disclosed. The integrated device of a pump and a valve includes a drive unit, a valve assembly mounted on the drive unit and configured to be switchable to a first position or a second position by the drive unit, a pump mounted on the drive unit, and a controller configured to control operation of the drive unit and the pump. The valve assembly includes a plurality of inlets and a plurality of outlets. At the first position and the second position of the valve assembly, different fluid passages are formed in the valve assembly. The pump is configured to communicate with the valve assembly to allow a flow of fluid through the valve assembly.
