CONSISTENCY MANAGEMENT OF COMPUTING OBJECTS OR FILES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18080516 titled 'CONSISTENCY MANAGEMENT OF COMPUTING OBJECTS OR FILES

The abstract of the patent application describes techniques and solutions for checking multiple object instances or files for consistency, with automatic remedial action if inconsistencies are found. The objects can represent data sent from a source system to a target system and back for comparison.

  • The innovation involves checking multiple object instances or files for consistency and taking automatic remedial action if inconsistencies are detected.
  • A common identifier can be assigned to the objects to facilitate comparison.
  • The objects can represent data transferred between source and target systems for consistency checking.

Potential Applications: - Data synchronization between systems - File integrity checks in data transfer processes - Version control in software development

Problems Solved: - Ensuring data consistency between source and target systems - Automating remedial actions for detected inconsistencies

Benefits: - Improved data accuracy and reliability - Streamlined data transfer processes - Reduced manual intervention in data consistency checks

Commercial Applications: Title: Automated Data Consistency Checking System This technology can be used in industries such as software development, data management, and information technology services to enhance data integrity and streamline processes.

Original Abstract Submitted

Techniques and solutions are provided for checking two or more object instances or files for consistency. If an inconsistency is detected, remedial action can automatically be taken to resolve the inconsistency. For example, a check type to determine a particular type of consistency can be associated with a remedial action to be implemented if a check fails. The two or more object instances or files can represent data that is stored at a source system, sent to a target system, and where a version of the data sent to the target system is then received back by the source system and used for consistency checking. In particular implementations, object instances or files can be assigned a common identifier to facilitate their comparison.
