Managing Multi-Party Projects for Computing Applications - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18063324 titled 'Managing Multi-Party Projects for Computing Applications

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a program stored on a machine-readable medium that allows a user to create a project, add multiple users to the project, and set access control configurations for different sections of the project data objects through a graphical user interface.

  • The program receives a request from a user to create a project and generates the project in response.
  • It then receives a request from the user to add multiple users to the project and creates data objects associated with each user.
  • The user can set access control configurations for different sections of the data objects.
  • The program provides a graphical user interface displaying the data objects for easy access and management.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Creation of projects and addition of multiple users with associated data objects.
  • Setting access control configurations for different sections of the data objects.
  • Graphical user interface for easy management of the project and data objects.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in collaborative project management, team collaboration tools, and data security applications.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the challenges of managing projects with multiple users and ensuring data security through access control configurations.

Benefits:

  • Improved project management efficiency.
  • Enhanced collaboration among team members.
  • Enhanced data security through access control configurations.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications include project management software, collaboration platforms, and data security solutions for businesses.

Prior Art: Prior art related to this technology may include existing project management tools, collaboration software, and data security systems.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on the latest advancements in project management software, collaboration tools, and data security technologies to enhance the capabilities of this innovation.

Questions about the Technology: 1. What are the key advantages of using this technology for project management? 2. How does this technology improve data security in collaborative projects?

Original Abstract Submitted

Some embodiments provide a non-transitory machine-readable medium that stores a program. The program may receive, from a particular user, a first request to create a project. In response to the first request, the program may generate the project. The program may receive, from the particular user, a second request to add a plurality of users to the project. The program may generate a plurality of data objects, each data object in the plurality of data objects associated with the particular user and a user in the plurality of users. For each data object in the plurality of data objects, the program may receive, from the particular user, a set of access control configurations for a set of sections in the data object. The program may provide a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising the plurality of data objects.
