RATE-SPLITTING MULTIPLE ACCESS MESSAGING WITH REPETITION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18063034 titled 'RATE-SPLITTING MULTIPLE ACCESS MESSAGING WITH REPETITION

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a system where a transmitter sends information to a receiver to configure a repetition pattern for transmitting parts of a message. The receiver then receives the message according to this pattern.

  • The transmitter configures a repetition pattern for transmitting parts of a message.
  • The receiver receives the repetition pattern and the message according to this pattern.

Key Features and Innovation

  • Configuring a repetition pattern for transmitting parts of a message.
  • Efficient transmission of messages using a repetition pattern.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in various communication systems where efficient transmission of messages is required.

Problems Solved

  • Ensures efficient transmission of messages.
  • Facilitates better communication between transmitters and receivers.

Benefits

  • Improved message transmission efficiency.
  • Enhanced communication reliability.

Questions about RSMA Technology

What are the key benefits of using a repetition pattern in message transmission?

Using a repetition pattern helps improve message reliability and ensures better communication between devices.

How does this technology compare to existing methods of message transmission?

This technology offers a more efficient way of transmitting messages compared to traditional methods, leading to improved communication reliability.

Original Abstract Submitted

A transmitter may be configured to transmit, to a receiver, information configuring a repetition pattern of at least one of a common part of a rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) message or a private part of the RSMA message. The transmitter may be further configured to transmit, to the receiver, at least one repetition of the at least one of the common part or the private part of the RSMA message according to the repetition pattern. The receiver may be configured to receive the information configuring the repetition pattern. The receiver may be further configured to receive, from the transmitter, at least one repetition of the at least one of the common part of the RSMA message or the private part of the RSMA message after receiving the information configuring the repetition pattern.
