FULL-DUPLEX PARTIAL UPLINK TRANSMISSIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18062943 titled 'FULL-DUPLEX PARTIAL UPLINK TRANSMISSIONS
The present disclosure pertains to wireless communication technology. A user equipment (UE) can determine slot information indicating whether a slot is half-duplex or full-duplex, along with the frequency structure of a full-duplex slot. The UE also receives segmentation information detailing slot segments and their skipping order. The UE can then initiate a partial uplink transmission and perform resource skipping in slot segments based on the slot and segmentation information.
- User equipment (UE) can identify slot information for half-duplex or full-duplex slots.
- UE receives segmentation information for slot segments and skipping order.
- UE initiates partial uplink transmission and performs resource skipping based on received information.

What are the potential implications of this technology on future wireless communication standards? This technology could influence the development of future wireless communication standards by enhancing resource management and data transmission efficiency.
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain slot information that indicates whether a slot is a half-duplex slot or a full-duplex slot and that indicates a frequency structure of the full-duplex slot. The UE may receive segmentation information that indicates a plurality of slot segments within the slot and that indicates a skipping order for the plurality of slot segments. The UE may initiate a partial uplink transmission. The UE may perform resource skipping in one or more slot segments of the plurality of slot segments based at least in part on the slot information and the segmentation information. Numerous other aspects are described.
