BATTERY CASE AND BATTERY - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18051062 titled 'BATTERY CASE AND BATTERY
Simplified Explanation
The present disclosure describes a battery case that achieves excellent volume density. The battery case is designed to store an electrode body and includes a hollow structure with four surfaces.
- The first surface and second surface face each other, while the third surface connects the first and second surfaces.
- The fourth surface faces the third surface.
- In a side view of the hollow structure, there is a convex structure on the third surface.
- The top of the convex structure is positioned closer to the fourth surface compared to a line segment connecting two border parts between the third surface and the first/second surfaces.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Battery manufacturing industry
- Electric vehicle industry
- Portable electronic devices industry
Problems solved by this technology:
- Improved volume density in battery cases
- Enhanced storage capacity for electrode bodies
Benefits of this technology:
- Increased energy storage capacity in batteries
- Compact and efficient battery design
- Improved performance and longer battery life
Original Abstract Submitted
A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a battery case with which excellent volume density is obtained. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a battery case for storing an electrode body, the battery case including: a hollow structure; the hollow structure includes a first surface, a second surface facing the first surface, a third surface connecting the first surface and the second surface, and a fourth surface facing the third surface; and in a side view of an axis direction of the hollow structure, when B designates a boarder part between the third surface and the first surface, B designates a boarder part between the third surface and the second surface, and L designates a line segment connecting the B and the B, the third surface includes a convex structure of which top is positioned closer to the fourth surface side compared to the L.
