WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SCHEDULING - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18047224 titled 'WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SCHEDULING
Simplified Explanation
The abstract of the patent application describes an apparatus configured for wireless communication, capable of generating data and transmitting a scheduling request to a network node.
- The apparatus is configured to generate data, store it in a buffer, and wait for uplink resources to be granted before transmitting the data.
- The apparatus transmits a scheduling request to a network node, indicating the size of the generated data and whether it exceeds a threshold value.
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as mobile networks, IoT devices, and satellite communication.
Problems Solved
This technology helps optimize the use of uplink resources by efficiently managing data transmission based on the size of the generated data.
Benefits
- Improved data transmission efficiency - Enhanced utilization of uplink resources - Better overall performance of wireless communication systems
Potential Commercial Applications
Optimizing data transmission in mobile networks Enhancing communication efficiency in IoT devices Improving satellite communication systems
Possible Prior Art
Prior art may include patents related to data transmission optimization in wireless communication systems or techniques for managing uplink resources efficiently.

Original Abstract Submitted
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to an apparatus configured for wireless communication. In certain aspects, the apparatus is configured to generate data (e.g., generate uplink data and store the data in a buffer until uplink resources are granted for transmission of the data). In certain aspects, the apparatus is configured to transmit, to a network node, a scheduling request (SR) comprising an indication of a size of the generated data, wherein the indication of the size of the generated data is configured to indicate whether the size of the generated data is greater than or equal to a threshold value, or less than or equal to the threshold value.
