ARITHMETIC AND CONTROL DEVICE, ARITHMETIC AND CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18039471 titled 'ARITHMETIC AND CONTROL DEVICE, ARITHMETIC AND CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The present invention aims to reduce the time required to calculate a specific number sequence by using parallel arithmetic processing. Here is a simplified explanation of the abstract:

  • The invention involves a preparatory processing unit that determines the starting points for arithmetic processing for multiple calculators using a recurrence formula.
  • A parallel arithmetic processing unit then solves a given formula from the starting point for each calculator, performing the calculations in parallel.
  • A quasi-random number sequence generating unit generates a quasi-random number sequence based on the specific number sequence obtained from the parallel arithmetic processing.

Potential Applications

This technology can have various applications in fields where fast calculation of number sequences is required, such as:

  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Scientific research and simulations
  • Cryptography and encryption algorithms
  • Data analysis and machine learning

Problems Solved

The technology addresses the following problems:

  • Lengthy processing time for calculating specific number sequences
  • Inefficiency in sequential arithmetic processing
  • Limited scalability of traditional calculation methods

Benefits

The use of parallel arithmetic processing offers several benefits:

  • Significant reduction in processing time
  • Improved efficiency and scalability
  • Ability to handle complex calculations with large datasets
  • Enhanced accuracy and precision in generating quasi-random number sequences

Original Abstract Submitted

The objective of the present invention is to shorten the processing time for calculating a specific number sequence by means of parallel arithmetic processing. A preparatory processing unit () uses a recurrence formula to determine arithmetic processing starting points for each of a plurality of calculators, a parallel arithmetic processing unit () calculates a specific number sequence by solving a given formula from the arithmetic processing starting point for each calculator, in parallel arithmetic processing employing the plurality of calculators, and a quasi-random number sequence generating unit () generates a quasi-random number sequence on the basis of the specific number sequence.
