a server for setting configurations in live streaming platform, comprising: obtaining configuration setting data from a database; wherein the configuration setting data includes configuration file and definition file; generating an ui object according to the configuration setting data; receiving an operation from an user via the ui object; and updating the configuration setting data in the database. the present disclosure may reduce the learning curve for the engineers and administrators to set the configuration, reduce human error by the engineers or administrators, and more functionalities may be added to the platform. therefore, the quality of the server may be improved.
