ELECTRONIC DEVICE, CONTENTS SEARCHING SYSTEM AND SEARCHING METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17972264 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE, CONTENTS SEARCHING SYSTEM AND SEARCHING METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an electronic apparatus that projects an image using a projector. The apparatus includes a main body, a projector, and a variety of sensors including an acceleration sensor and distance sensors. It also includes a support connected to the main body and a processor.

  • The electronic apparatus can detect the vertical angle at which it is tilted using the acceleration sensor.
  • It can also detect the rotation angle of the apparatus using the distance sensors.
  • The processor can perform keystone correction on the projected image to provide a modified image.
  • The size of the modified image can be determined based on the vertical angle or rotation angle.
  • The projector is controlled to project the modified image based on its size.

Potential Applications

  • This technology can be used in multimedia projectors to automatically correct the keystone distortion caused by tilting or rotating the projector.
  • It can be applied in home theater systems to ensure optimal image quality even when the projector is not perfectly aligned with the screen.
  • This technology can be useful in conference rooms or classrooms where projectors are frequently moved or adjusted.

Problems Solved

  • The technology solves the problem of keystone distortion in projected images caused by tilting or rotating the projector.
  • It eliminates the need for manual adjustment of the projector to correct the keystone distortion.
  • The technology ensures that the projected image is always aligned and properly sized, regardless of the angle or rotation of the projector.

Benefits

  • The electronic apparatus provides automatic keystone correction, improving the quality and clarity of projected images.
  • It simplifies the setup process by eliminating the need for manual adjustment of the projector.
  • The technology enhances user experience by ensuring that the projected image is always aligned and properly sized.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic apparatus projecting an image is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a main body, a projector, a plurality of sensors including an acceleration sensor that detects a sensing value, and a plurality of distance sensors that detect a distance value between the electronic apparatus and a screen, a support connected to the main body, and a processor configured to identify a vertical angle by which the electronic apparatus is tilted, based on a sensing value detected by the acceleration sensor, identify a rotation angle by which the electronic apparatus is rotated based on a distance value detected by the plurality of distance sensors, perform a function corresponding to a keystone correction on an image to provide a modified image, identify a size of the modified image based on the vertical angle or the rotation angle, and control the projector to project the modified image based on the size of the modified image.
