VENTILATION HOOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17968990 titled 'VENTILATION HOOD
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a ventilation hood for appliances, such as stoves or ovens, that includes a motor module and a controller. Here are the key points:
- The ventilation hood has a main frame that faces the front of the appliance and has a through-hole passing through it.
- The motor module is located on the main frame and is designed to suck in air through the through-hole.
- The motor module includes a duct, a motor, and an exhaust fan. The exhaust fan is driven by the motor and blows air in a direction perpendicular to the motor's axis.
- The axis of the motor is positioned in a direction from the front of the appliance to the rear, which is opposite to the front.
- The controller is located on the main frame and is positioned at the front of the duct, corresponding to the front of the appliance.
Potential applications of this technology:
- This ventilation hood can be used in residential kitchens, commercial kitchens, and other cooking environments where ventilation is necessary.
- It can be applied to various types of appliances, such as stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers.
Problems solved by this technology:
- The ventilation hood effectively removes smoke, odors, and airborne grease particles from the cooking area, improving air quality and reducing the risk of fire hazards.
- The motor module's design allows for efficient air suction and blowing, ensuring effective ventilation.
Benefits of this technology:
- The ventilation hood's motor module and controller provide precise control over the operation and rotation velocity of the exhaust fan.
- The positioning of the motor's axis and the controller at the front of the duct optimize the ventilation process and enhance the overall performance of the hood.
- The through-hole in the main frame allows for easy installation and maintenance of the ventilation hood.
Original Abstract Submitted
A ventilation hood includes a main frame which faces an appliance accessible from a front of the appliance, the main frame defining a through-hole passing through the main frame, a motor module on the main frame and configured to suck in air through the through-hole, the motor module including a duct, a motor having an axis, and an exhaust fan driven by the motor and defining a blowing direction perpendicular to the axis of the motor, and a controller configured to control operation of the ventilation hood and a rotation velocity of the exhaust fan. The axis of the motor is in a direction from the front of the appliance to a rear of the appliance which is opposite to the front. The controller is on the main frame and at a front of the duct which corresponds to the front of the appliance.
