SOYBEAN CULTIVAR 11251200 - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17949759 titled 'SOYBEAN CULTIVAR 11251200

Simplified Explanation

The soybean cultivar 11251200 is disclosed in this patent application. This invention pertains to the seeds, plants, plant parts, and methods for producing progeny of soybean cultivar 11251200. It also includes methods for producing transgenic soybean plants containing one or more transgenes. Additionally, the patent covers soybean cultivars, breeding cultivars, and plant parts derived from cultivar 11251200, as well as hybrid soybean seeds and plants produced by crossing with another soybean cultivar.

  • Seeds, plants, and plant parts of soybean cultivar 11251200 are disclosed.
  • Methods for producing progeny of soybean cultivar 11251200 are included.
  • Transgenic soybean plants containing one or more transgenes can be produced.
  • Soybean cultivars, breeding cultivars, and plant parts derived from cultivar 11251200 are covered.
  • Hybrid soybean seeds and plants produced by crossing with another soybean cultivar are discussed.

Potential Applications

The technology described in this patent application could be applied in agriculture, specifically in the cultivation of soybeans for various purposes such as food production, animal feed, and biofuel.

Problems Solved

This technology addresses the need for improved soybean cultivars with desirable traits such as higher yields, resistance to pests and diseases, and tolerance to environmental stress.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include increased productivity and profitability for soybean farmers, as well as potential environmental benefits from the development of more resilient and sustainable crop varieties.

Potential Commercial Applications

The potential commercial applications of this technology include licensing the soybean cultivar 11251200 to seed companies for mass production and distribution to farmers. This could also lead to the development of new products derived from soybeans with enhanced traits.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art in this field is the development of transgenic soybean varieties with herbicide resistance, which has been a focus of research and commercialization in the agricultural biotechnology industry.

Original Abstract Submitted

A soybean cultivar designated 11251200 is disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds of soybean cultivar 11251200, to the plants of soybean cultivar 11251200, to the plant parts of soybean cultivar 11251200, and to methods for producing progeny of soybean cultivar 11251200. The invention also relates to methods for producing a soybean plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic soybean plants and plant parts produced by those methods. The invention also relates to soybean cultivars or breeding cultivars, and plant parts derived from soybean cultivar 11251200. The invention also relates to methods for producing other soybean cultivars, lines, or plant parts derived from soybean cultivar 11251200, and to the soybean plants, varieties, and their parts derived from use of those methods. The invention further relates to hybrid soybean seeds, plants, and plant parts produced by crossing cultivar 11251200 with another soybean cultivar.
