The electronic device may include a housing including a first housing and a second housing configured to receive at least a part of the first housing and guide a sliding movement of the first housing, a display configured to unfold based on the sliding movement of the first housing, an elastic member disposed in the housing and configured to be compressed based on the sliding movement of the first housing, a sensor module disposed in the housing and configured to sense a pressure provided by the elastic member, and a processor configured to determine a sliding distance of the electronic device, based on the pressure sensed by the sensor module.
