METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING AD-HOC GROUP COMMUNICATION WITH SECURITY CONTEXT FOR MISSION CRITICAL SERVICES - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17934118 titled 'METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING AD-HOC GROUP COMMUNICATION WITH SECURITY CONTEXT FOR MISSION CRITICAL SERVICES
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method for controlling ad-hoc group communication with a security context for MCX services in 5G/6G communication systems. Here are the key points:
- The method involves sending a request message from a first MC service client device to an MC service server to establish ad-hoc group communication with a second MC service client device.
- The MC service server determines if the ad-hoc group communication is supported and authorized based on the received request.
- If supported and authorized, a return message is received from the MC service server, and a security context is generated for the second MC service client device.
- The ad-hoc group communication is then established with the second MC service client device using the generated security context.
Potential applications of this technology:
- This technology can be applied in 5G/6G communication systems to support higher data transmission rates.
- It can be used in various industries that require secure ad-hoc group communication, such as emergency response services, military operations, and collaborative work environments.
Problems solved by this technology:
- The method provides a secure and controlled way to establish ad-hoc group communication in MCX services.
- It ensures that only authorized devices can participate in the ad-hoc group communication, enhancing security and preventing unauthorized access.
Benefits of this technology:
- The method allows for efficient and secure ad-hoc group communication in 5G/6G communication systems.
- It enables faster data transmission rates, supporting the increasing demand for high-speed communication.
- The technology enhances security by generating a security context for each device participating in the ad-hoc group communication.
Original Abstract Submitted
The disclosure relates to 5G/6G communication systems for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments provide a method for controlling an ad-hoc group communication with a security context for MCX services. The method includes sending, by first MC service client device , an ad-hoc group communication request message to an MC service server to establish the ad-hoc group communication with a second MC service client device. The MC service server determines whether the ad-hoc group communication is supported and successfully authorized based on the received ad-hoc group communication request. The method includes: receiving an ad-hoc group communication request return message from the MC service server when the ad-hoc group communication is supported and successfully authorized; generating the security context for the second MC service client device for the ad-hoc group communication; and establishing the ad-hoc group communication with the second MC service client device using the generated security context.
