METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING VIBRATION WAVEFORM OF LINEAR MOTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17910989 titled 'METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING VIBRATION WAVEFORM OF LINEAR MOTOR

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method and apparatus for adjusting the vibration waveform of a linear motor. The method involves obtaining the frequency of a steady-state waveform or a transient waveform of a vibration description file and adjusting it to match the characteristics of the linear motor.

  • The method involves obtaining the frequency of a steady-state waveform or a transient waveform of a vibration description file.
  • The frequency is then mapped to a target frequency according to preset mapping rules and the frequency of the linear motor.
  • For transient waveforms, the waveform is expanded into a sequence of target transient waveforms with adapted frequencies.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in various industries where linear motors are used, such as robotics, automation, and transportation systems.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of mismatched vibration waveforms in linear motors, leading to improved performance and efficiency.

Benefits

The adaptation of vibration waveforms to the characteristics of the linear motor improves the overall vibration effect, leading to smoother operation and reduced wear and tear on the motor.

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications include linear motor systems in manufacturing equipment, conveyor systems, and precision positioning systems.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of vibration analysis software in industrial machinery to optimize performance and reduce maintenance costs.

What are the specific mapping rules used to adjust the frequency of the vibration waveform in the method described in the patent application?

The specific mapping rules used to adjust the frequency of the vibration waveform in the method described in the patent application are not explicitly mentioned. However, it can be inferred that these rules are preset and based on the frequency of the linear motor to ensure optimal performance.

How does the method of expanding transient waveforms into a sequence of target waveforms improve the vibration effect of the linear motor?

Expanding transient waveforms into a sequence of target waveforms allows for a more precise adaptation of the vibration characteristics to the linear motor. This ensures that the vibration effect is optimized for the specific requirements of the motor, leading to improved efficiency and performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

A method and an apparatus for adjusting a vibration waveform of a linear motor. At least one of the following steps is performed: obtaining a frequency of a steady-state waveform of a vibration description file, and mapping the frequency to a target frequency according to a preset first mapping rule and a frequency of the linear motor; or obtaining a transient waveform of the vibration description file and expanding the transient waveform into a waveform sequence formed by a plurality of target transient waveforms, where the frequency of the waveform sequence is the same as a frequency of the transient waveform of the vibration description file, and a frequency of a target transient waveform is adapted to the linear motor. Therefore, both the steady-state waveform and the transient waveform can be adapted to the characteristics of the linear motor, thereby improving the vibration effect of the linear motor.
