ELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM FOR CHANGING RECEPTION TIMING FROM EXTERNAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITHIN WIRELESS ENVIRONMENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17902408 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM FOR CHANGING RECEPTION TIMING FROM EXTERNAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITHIN WIRELESS ENVIRONMENT

Simplified Explanation

An electronic device is described in this patent application. It includes a communication circuitry, memory, and processor. The processor is programmed to identify two communication links with external devices, determine if their time resources overlap, and send a request signal to adjust the time resources if necessary.

  • The electronic device has a communication circuitry, memory, and processor.
  • The processor can identify a first communication link with a first external device and a second communication link with a second external device.
  • It can determine if the time resources used for the first communication link overlap with the time resources used or to be used for the second communication link.
  • If there is an overlap, the processor can send a request signal to adjust the time resources for one of the communication links.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • This technology can be used in smartphones, tablets, or other electronic devices that have multiple communication links.
  • It can be applied in wireless communication systems, such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, to manage multiple connections efficiently.
  • It can be useful in IoT devices that need to communicate with multiple devices simultaneously.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • This technology solves the problem of overlapping time resources in communication links, which can lead to interference or reduced performance.
  • It ensures that the communication links operate smoothly without conflicting with each other.
  • It optimizes the use of time resources in a multi-device communication environment.

Benefits of this technology:

  • It improves the overall performance and reliability of communication links in electronic devices.
  • It reduces the chances of interference or data loss due to overlapping time resources.
  • It allows for efficient management of multiple communication links, enhancing the user experience.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic device having a communication circuitry, at least one memory, and at least one processor is provided. The processor is configured to identify a first communication link with a first external electronic device operating as a first master device with respect to the electronic device and a second communication link with a second external electronic device operating as a second master device with respect to the electronic device, identify whether at least a portion of first time resources used for the first communication link overlap with at least portion of second time resources used or to be used for the second communication link and transmit one of a first request signal for adjusting the first time resources and a second request signal for adjusting the second time resources based on identifying that at least the portion of the first time resources overlap with at least the portion of the second time resources.
