METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SENSE AMPLIFIER AND CONTROL DEVICE USING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17886423 titled 'METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SENSE AMPLIFIER AND CONTROL DEVICE USING THE SAME
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method for controlling a sense amplifier using a latch circuit and a control circuit.
- The latch circuit receives memory data signals from the sense amplifier and generates reference data signals based on the memory data signals.
- The control circuit provides an enable signal to the sense amplifier in response to a pass gate signal, and stops providing the enable signal when at least one of the reference data signals is received.
- The enable signal controls the sensing period of the sense amplifier.
Potential Applications:
- Memory systems
- Integrated circuits
- Data storage devices
Problems Solved:
- Efficient control of sense amplifiers
- Improved data processing speed
- Enhanced memory performance
Benefits:
- Increased efficiency in memory systems
- Faster data processing
- Improved overall performance of integrated circuits
Original Abstract Submitted
The disclosure provides a method for controlling a sense amplifier. The control device includes a latch circuit and a control circuit. The latch circuit receives a plurality of memory data signals from the sense amplifier, wherein the latch circuit respectively generates a plurality of reference data signals based on the plurality of memory data signals. The control circuit is coupled to the latch circuit, provides an enable signal to the sense amplifier in response to a pass gate signal of the sense amplifier, and stops providing the enable signal in response to at least one of the plurality of reference data signals, wherein the enable signal controls a sensing period of the sense amplifier.
