Original Abstract Submitted

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for positioning reference signals (PRSs) for reduced capacity devices, e.g., in 5G NR systems and beyond. A UE may report, to a network one or more capabilities associated with a positioning procedure for location estimation. The UE may receive, from the network and based on the one or more capabilities, a reference signal configuration for the positioning procedure. The reference signal configuration may support coherent stitching (e.g., frequency hopping) with tone-overlap. The reference signal configuration may, to support coherent stitching with tone-overlap, include additional repetitions that enable mapping over a bandwidth and/or a scaling factor that may be based, at least in part, on an actual bandwidth, a desired positioning measurement bandwidth, and an overlap indicated by the UE. The UE may perform reference signal measurements based on the reference signal configuration.
