BUMPER BEAM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17863927 titled 'BUMPER BEAM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

Simplified Explanation

The present disclosure is about a bumper beam for a motor vehicle that can be customized according to the design and specifications of the vehicle's mobility. The bumper beam has a center portion that is not specific to any particular mobility and side portions that can be altered to meet the requirements of different mobilities. This allows for flexible application of the bumper beam while ensuring collision performance.

  • The bumper beam is designed to be adaptable to different mobilities of motor vehicles.
  • The center portion of the bumper beam is not mobility-specific, allowing for customization.
  • The side portions of the bumper beam can be modified based on the design and specifications of the vehicle's mobility.
  • The bumper beam provides collision performance while accommodating various mobilities.
  • Manufacturing costs are reduced by using a standardized model and minimal molds for production.

Potential Applications

  • Automotive industry
  • Vehicle manufacturing companies
  • Collision repair and replacement services

Problems Solved

  • Lack of flexibility in bumper beam design for different mobilities
  • Limited options for customization based on vehicle specifications
  • High manufacturing costs due to the need for multiple molds

Benefits

  • Customizable bumper beam design for different mobilities
  • Improved collision performance
  • Reduced manufacturing costs through standardized model and minimal molds

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure discloses a bumper beam for a motor vehicle including a center portion free of mobility-specificity and side portions that may be altered according to design and specification of the mobility to secure collision performance so that the bumper back beam of which collision performance is secured and which satisfies various mobilities may be flexibly applied. Accordingly, it is possible to configure the back beam satisfying various mobilities based on a standardized model to secure collision performance so that manufacturing cost is reduced by assembling and producing the back beams with minimum molds.
