ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMAGE STABILIZATION BY CONSIDERING ANTENNA PERFORMANCE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17860831 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMAGE STABILIZATION BY CONSIDERING ANTENNA PERFORMANCE
Simplified Explanation
Abstract Explanation
This patent application describes an electronic device that includes a camera, an antenna, and a processor. The processor is connected to the camera and the antenna and is responsible for controlling the camera, obtaining images, and measuring signal quality received by the antenna. Based on the signal quality, the processor can perform two types of corrections: adjusting the camera lens based on the vibration direction of the device, and generating a corrected image using specific areas of the captured image.
Bullet Points
- Electronic device with camera, antenna, and processor
- Processor controls camera and obtains images
- Processor measures signal quality received by the antenna
- Based on signal quality, processor performs corrections:
- Adjusting camera lens based on device vibration direction
- Generating a corrected image using specific areas of the captured image
Potential Applications
- Mobile phones and tablets with improved image stabilization
- Surveillance cameras with enhanced image correction capabilities
- Drones and other aerial devices with better image quality during flight
Problems Solved
- Image distortion caused by device vibrations
- Poor image quality due to signal interference
- Inaccurate image representation caused by motion blur
Benefits
- Improved image stabilization for clearer and sharper photos
- Enhanced image correction for better overall image quality
- More accurate representation of objects in images
Original Abstract Submitted
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a camera, an antenna, and a processor operatively connected to the camera and the antenna. The processor may obtain an image of an object by controlling the camera, may obtain signal quality received by the antenna, and may select and perform, based on the signal quality, at least one of a first correction for moving a lens of the camera based on a vibration direction of the electronic device and a second correction for generating a corrected image based on at least some area of the image of the object.
