NETWORK PARAMETER BASED WAVEFORM PARAMETERS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17815766 titled 'NETWORK PARAMETER BASED WAVEFORM PARAMETERS
Simplified Explanation
The present disclosure relates to wireless communication and specifically to switching between different waveforms or waveform parameters in a mobile station based on network conditions.
- A mobile station receives an indication from a network node about a condition related to switching between a first waveform and a second waveform, or between different sets of waveform parameters for the first waveform.
- The condition is determined based on one or more network parameters.
- The mobile station communicates with the network node using either the first waveform or the second waveform, or using either the first set of waveform parameters or the second set of waveform parameters, depending on whether the condition is detected by the mobile station.
Potential applications of this technology:
- This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as cellular networks, to optimize the use of different waveforms or waveform parameters based on network conditions.
- It can improve the efficiency and reliability of wireless communication by dynamically adapting the waveform or waveform parameters to the current network conditions.
- The technology can be used in IoT devices, where different waveforms or waveform parameters may be required for different types of data transmission.
Problems solved by this technology:
- The technology addresses the challenge of efficiently switching between different waveforms or waveform parameters in wireless communication systems.
- It helps to optimize the use of available network resources by adapting the waveform or waveform parameters based on network conditions.
- The technology improves the overall performance and reliability of wireless communication by dynamically adjusting the waveform or waveform parameters.
Benefits of this technology:
- Enhanced efficiency and reliability of wireless communication systems.
- Improved utilization of network resources.
- Better adaptability to changing network conditions.
- Increased performance and quality of wireless communication.
- Potential cost savings by optimizing the use of waveforms and waveform parameters.
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile station may receive, from a network node, an indication of a condition associated with switching between a first waveform and a second waveform or between a first set of waveform parameters for the first waveform and a second set of waveform parameters for the first waveform, wherein the condition is based at least in part on one or more network parameters. The mobile station may communicate, with the network node, using at least one of: the first waveform or the second waveform, or the first set of waveform parameters or the second set of waveform parameters, based at least in part on whether the condition is detected by the mobile station. Numerous other aspects are described.
