This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17801704 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a display device that includes a flexible display panel and a panel roller for winding and unwinding the display panel. It also includes two frames positioned at either end of the panel roller, a bearing fixed to one end of the panel roller, and a disk wheel coupled to the other end of the panel roller.
- The display device includes a flexible display panel that can be wound or unwound using a panel roller.
- The panel roller is supported by two frames positioned at either end of it.
- A bearing is fixed to one end of the panel roller to provide stability.
- A disk wheel is coupled to the other end of the panel roller and intersects its rotary shaft.
- Two stable rollers come into contact with the disk wheel to ensure smooth rotation.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Flexible display devices for smartphones, tablets, or wearable devices.
- Rollable or foldable displays for portable electronic devices.
- Curved or flexible displays for automotive or aviation applications.
Problems solved by this technology:
- Enables the use of flexible display panels that can be easily rolled or folded.
- Provides stability and support for the panel roller during winding and unwinding.
- Ensures smooth rotation of the panel roller with the help of the disk wheel and stable rollers.
Benefits of this technology:
- Allows for compact and portable devices with flexible displays.
- Enhances the durability and lifespan of flexible display panels.
- Provides a convenient and user-friendly way to store and transport flexible display devices.
Original Abstract Submitted
A display device is disclosed. The display device of the present disclosure may comprise: a flexible display panel; a panel roller which elongates and on or from which the display panel is wound or unwound; a first frame positioned to be adjacent to one end of the panel roller; a second frame positioned to be adjacent to the other end of the panel roller and faces the first frame with respect to the panel roller; a bearing coupled to the one end of the panel roller and fixed to the first frame; a disk wheel adjacent to the other end of the panel roller and coupled to the panel roller while intersecting a rotary shaft of the panel roller; a first stable roller coming into contact with the disk wheel; and a second stable roller coming into contact with the disk wheel.
